This is such a coool post! I loved it and laughed till I cried, over all of them, but especially the description of Vernon. Hey, I never knew he liked Counting Crows. Good Man!!!! Excellent work kids. Keep it up. Some good photo editing there too!
By the way, to insert your profile pic, you have to upload a pic of yourselves into a new post then copy the URL from the Http part up to the jpeg or teiff or whatever extension on the photo script in your post and paste that section into the little window on your profile page. You will then have to publish your whole blog again, and then go to the edit page and delete the actual post with the pic in it. Then re-load the page again, and your profile pic should be there!

I've got a new blog for the book I'm writing about our early years in SA. I've changed Dad's name to keep it neutral for the moment, but toherwise, it's all as I remember it.
