Whether the Weather is all about Geography?

This is the blog of Craig and Maryssa, we live in the small University town that is Grahamstown South Africa. "Craig" : I am studying to become an educator, whilst working at a small township school. My area of specialisation is technology and computers, I teach senior primary and junior high. "Maryssa" : I am working on a Masters degree in pharmaceutical chemistry, which focusses on the isolation of useful compounds from marine plants and microbes.

Yes, Mooska, I find it very very alarming. I can't help feeling there's more behind it too. Perhaps being engineered in some way to escalate the situation and bring it to some kind of massive downfall....not of Israel, I can assure you.
Anyway, I hope that cold spell they are predicting will be postponed by a couple of hundred years. I'd hate to think of any of us being caught in the grips of a new ice age! After all, if its 10 000 years overdue, another couple of hundred won't hurt!
PS Have you seen Sin's latest blog? It's really cute!
Hi guys,
The good news is, the heatwave is starting to end where I live. We had a record of most days of 100 degrees farenheit temperatures, unfortunately a few lives were lost.
Hi Maryssa/Craig
I agree with VallyP (is part of my core business;-).
There is much speculation about the human powers to influence the weather if not the climate.
Go see what you can find about H.A.A.R.P. but take nothing at face value. Well, being a scientist, you won't, I am sure.
So sorry to read you are suffering from the cold, not good for the Mooskas of this world.
As Sindy would say: 's not fair!

Hi Momo
If you've defrosted yet today, just wanted to let you know there's another bit of African ways for you to read...if you feel like it!
By the way, have you been able to send the pics off yet? And have you had the CD's I sent you?
Love, hugs and warm woolly kisses.

Hi Mo,
I think that Middle East conflict will keep raging on even after we've all left this world. So the best thing would be if Craig keeps up getting idea's for alternative energy sources (so we can forget about oil and the ridiculous prices they ask for it), put a big fence around the Middle East and make a Big Brother show out of it.
Cheers!
Bazzio
Hahaha, nice idea Baz!
Anyway, as far as humans influencing weather, one only has to look at New York to see the effect humans and human settlements can ahve on a local scale so who's to say it can't have an effect on a global scale?
